On-the-Go Medical Alert Pendant
A medical alert necklace that works everywhere in Canada with cell coverage — not just at home. GPS tells the operator where you are, two-way voice lets you talk through the pendant, and automatic fall detection is included. $54.99/month CAD (checked 17-Jul-2026).
What makes the pendant different?
An at-home system protects the house. The pendant protects you — on the sidewalk, at the mall, at the cottage. It’s a small device on a lanyard with a cellular connection built in.
Works across Canada
It connects over the 4G LTE network, so it works anywhere your cellphone would — no base station, no range limit.
GPS when seconds count
When you press the button, the operator can locate the pendant by GPS and direct help to where you actually are.
Fall detection included
Built-in sensors can detect a hard fall and start the call automatically — important, because you can’t always press a button after a fall. How it works and its limits.
Talk through the pendant
A speaker and microphone are built in. You talk with the operator right through the pendant, hands free, wherever you are.
Shower-safe
Rated IP67 — safe in the shower and in rain, and it survives brief immersion in water up to 3 feet.
Days between charges
The battery lasts up to 3 days. Set it in its charging cradle overnight once or twice a week — like a cordless phone.
What does a day with it look like?
Tuesday means the seniors’ walk at the mall, then groceries, then the bus home. The pendant rides under your coat, quiet. Your son used to worry about the icy parking lot — now he knows that if anything happens, someone who knows your name and your heart condition is one press away, and can see exactly where you are. You didn’t give anything up. You just stopped carrying the “what if” around with you.

Common questions about the pendant
Does it work outside my city?
Yes. The pendant works anywhere in Canada with 4G LTE cell coverage — visiting family in another province, at the cottage, on a bus trip. If your phone would have signal there, the pendant will too.
What happens if I fall and can’t press the button?
The pendant’s sensors can detect a hard fall and call the monitoring centre automatically. No device catches every fall, so pressing the button when you can is still the surest signal — our fall detection page explains this honestly.
How often do I have to charge it?
The battery lasts up to 3 days. Most people set it in the cradle while they sleep once or twice a week. It beeps to warn you when it’s running low.
Is it heavy or bulky?
It weighs 46 grams — about the same as a golf ball — and it’s smaller than a deck of cards. It hangs on an adjustable lanyard with a quick-release clasp and tucks under a shirt or coat.
